Auckland Cup Day for Barfoot & Thompson.
THE BRIEF //
We were commissioned by Barfoot & Thompson to help them celebrate a special milestone of 100 years at Auckland Cup Day.
Located at Pukekohe Park while Auckland Racing Club completed renovations, we had the challenge of taking a very bare-bones space and transforming it into something elegant and glamorous - expectations were high!
THE THINKING //
Given this Auckland Cup marked 100 years of Barfoot & Thompson we drew inspiration from the Art Deco era, the dawn of the modern age - where avant garde style and glamour was at the forefront of design.
THE MAKING //
We drew on the Art Deco aesthetic throughout with bold geometric patterns, luxe, extravagant florals, and architectural-like detailing. Vintage racing elements completed the look.
THE SUCCESS //
The transformation surprised and impressed all round. Guests celebrated in style enjoying a glamorous and memorable day at the races.
